SzwajnosówkaSZWAJNOSÓWKA is our family-run, highlander-style farm located in the village of Witów in the Podhale region, almost at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, along the road from Czarny Dunajec, about 100 km south of Krakow and 12 km from Zakopane.
About a hundred meters away from the main road, we have built three wooden cottages in the traditional highlander style for our guests. These cottages are insulated, centrally heated, modestly but modernly equipped.
The smaller cottage, located near a pond, has two bedrooms for five people, a bathroom, and a common room with a kitchenette.
The larger cottage, recently renovated, has four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms for a total of ten people, a kitchenette, and a living room with a fireplace. All rooms are equipped with televisions. There is also an additional attic room for two children (included in the cottage rental price).
The newest cottage, with completely new furnishings, can accommodate four people. It has two double bedrooms, bathrooms, a living room, a kitchenette, and its main attraction is a terrace with a view of the Tatra Mountains and direct access to the garden. Staying in this cottage guarantees comfort and convenience.
In the kitchenettes, guests can prepare light meals (e.g., breakfast). However, due to the wooden interiors of the cottages, which are not impregnated or varnished, we do not allow cooking of full meals.
In the surrounding garden, we have created a rock flower garden, a pond with trout, a playground for children with swings and a sandbox, a barbecue area, and a parking lot.
For the residents of our cottages, we can organize various activities, such as evenings by the fireplace (the host ignites and supervises the fireplace for fire safety), grill parties, horse-drawn carriage rides through the Chochołowska Valley, and winter sleigh rides.
