Chata pod Wałem„Chata pod Wałem” is an agrotourism farm located in Lichwin, in the Pleśna municipality, 20 km south of Tarnów. It is situated below the peak of Wał (523 m above sea level) on a sunny southern clearing, surrounded by mixed forests, far away from human settlements.
The location of „Chata” and the microclimate here provide excellent opportunities for relaxation in peace and quiet. On the farm, there is a viewpoint from which one can admire one of the most extensive mountain panoramas, including the Ciężkowice-Rożnów Foothills, the Low Beskids, the Sądecki Beskids, the Wyspowy Beskids, the Gorce Mountains, and the Tatras, all the way to Babia Góra in the Żywiec Beskids.
In the forests belonging to the farm, you can find remnants of military fortifications, and a few hundred meters away, there are renovated cemeteries from World War I. In the vicinity of „Chata,” there are also a shale quarry, fossilized oaks, and a place called „hell” with ruins of a pre-war factory. The surroundings of the farm are hilly areas, excellent for cycling, hiking, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing (1.5 and 2 km from the farm, there are ski lifts with artificially snowed, illuminated, and groomed slopes). It is possible to organize sleigh rides, camps, and excursions (there are yellow and green hiking trails nearby, as well as many cycling routes).
In „Chata,” throughout the year, there are 2 rooms for 8-10 people, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen waiting for tourists. For the adventurous, there are 10 sleeping places in the barn during the summer. Next to the house, there are multi-level terraces for relaxation and entertainment, a place for a bonfire and a grill. There is parking for cars and a place to pitch tents.
Catering conditions to be agreed upon. The host, a GOPR rescuer, invites you to hiking, cycling, or car trips to every corner of the mountains visible from the top of Wał.
