Cieplice is the oldest resort in Poland, founded in 1281, and is now a spa part of Jelenia Góra (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). The charm, tranquility, and climate of this prestigious spa, located at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains in the heart of the Jelenia Góra Valley, are appreciated by numerous visitors who come here for treatment. Over the centuries, Cieplice Spa has been visited by many famous guests, including the Grand Chancellor of Lithuania, Albrycht Stanisław Radziwiłł (1653), the castellan of Wieluń, Zygmunt Radziwiłł (1677), the primate Michał Radziejowski (1692), Johann Wolfgang Goethe (1790), the King of Prussia, Frederick William III, with his wife (1800), John Quincy Adams, the future President of the United States (1800), Hugo Kołłątaj (1792 and 1808), Józef Wybicki (1802), and Izabella Czartoryska (1816). The most distinguished guest in Cieplice was the Polish queen, Marysieńka Sobieska, who stayed here with her numerous court in 1687.

Cieplice’s therapeutic thermal water deposits, the only ones in Poland with a temperature reaching 90C, are used in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders (rheumatology, orthopedics, neurology, osteoporosis), urinary system disorders (urology, nephrology), and ophthalmology. „Uzdrowisko Cieplice” Sp. z o.o. is the only spa in Poland that provides balneological treatment for eye disorders.

The Natural Therapy Center offers 40 types of treatments including hydrotherapy, peloid therapy, inhalation therapy, kinesiotherapy, light therapy, and electrotherapy based on therapeutic mineral waters (fluorine-silicon, hypotonic, weakly mineralized, alkaline) and high-quality mud.
