Gospodarstwo Agroturystyczne Guzowy MłynGuzowy Młyn cannot be found on every map of Poland, unless it is a military map. It used to be the smallest village in Poland. Now it is part of the municipality of Gietrzwałd and is inhabited by a group of enthusiasts who are supporters of almost wild nature and lovers of antiques (the buildings on the property are over 100 years old). Amateurs with similar preferences will find here: comfortable rooms with bathrooms, a fish pond with impressive carp and pike, and the Młynówka River flowing into Lake Sarąg.
Next to the river stands a mill with a small hydroelectric power plant operated by a century-old turbine. The picturesque mill can become an attractive workshop for artists who want to work in the scenic surroundings of the Młynówka River valley. The entire surrounding area is extraordinary, diverse, and full of surprises, surrounded by colorful, mushroom-rich forests in autumn. Olsztyn is located about 30 km away, with Ostróda at a similar distance but in the opposite direction, and Gietrzwałd with its famous Marian Sanctuary nearby.
In the first year of our operation, our concern for the well-being of guests was appreciated, and we received the first prize for the best agrotourism farm in 2004 in the „Green Summer” Nationwide Agrotourism Competition in the regional qualifiers. We were also honored with the first prize from the Director of State Forests in the XI edition of the Nationwide Agroecotourism Competition in the „Green Summer 2004” category.
At guests’ disposal, located in a secluded valley, there is a year-round agro-guesthouse: a studio for 2-4 people with a kitchenette in a century-old house, a bathroom, a toilet, a separate entrance, 4 double rooms with bathrooms, a shared kitchenette with a dining room in a separate complex, a fireplace, TV and telephone, possibility of using the internet via WI-FI, refrigerator, washing machine, household appliances, and full kitchen equipment, grill and bonfire area, breakfast included in the price, possibility of ordering lunch and dinner on-site, possibility of bringing pets by arrangement.
Attractions: a starting point for people who want to explore, areas suitable for cycling, hiking, and car trips, a cozy place for people who want to spend pleasant moments in a quiet place, an ideal place for photography enthusiasts – an area rich in birds and wildlife, feasting combined with roasting wild game, two stocked ponds for fishing, organizing fishing competitions for the whole family and friends, huge mushroom picking in the surrounding forests in autumn, canoeing on the Młynówka River, Lake Sarąg, and the Pasłęka River, a meadow for sunbathing and swimming, horse riding in a friendly stud farm, horse-drawn carriage rides, sleigh rides in winter.
